THE ROLE

ThinkCERCA is looking for a competent executive assistant to support ThinkCERCA's Chief Executive Officer, Eileen Murphy, in curriculum and instruction and in sales. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to Ms. Murphy’s working life and communication. We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, has strong interpersonal skills, and is dedicated to working at a social impact startup that supports schools and districts. Lastly, any previous education experience is extremely valuable.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with ThinkCERCA’s CEO and Founder, Eileen Murphy, and collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, Success, and Product teams.
  • Support Ms. Murphy’s business development efforts through lead generation and follow-up to the top 100 school districts.
  • Support CEO’s schedule by coordinating meetings, keeping track of Ms. Murphy’s calendar, providing reminders of upcoming meetings, and booking travel.
  • Manage CEO’s communication and review documents before outreach to team members, customers, potential customers, and investors.
  • Take notes from Ms. Murphy’s meetings with potential customers and accurately enter data
  • Research to stay abreast of the top 100 district's’ needs and initiatives.
  • Expense reports for Eileen.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work 40 hours a week in our River North, Chicago offices
  • Sales experience or willingness to learn sales
  • Exemplary planning, organization, and time management skills
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize daily workload, and work under strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and general computer skills
  • Education experience is a huge bonus
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Eager to work at a young startup that's having an impact in schools throughout America.
