About ThinkCERCA

ThinkCERCA is a mission-driven education company that helps schools and districts build students into courageous, critical thinkers. Our literacy and argumentation platform supports close reading and academic writing across subjects in grades 3 through 12, preparing students for post-secondary success by strengthening their analytical skills in every classroom. We believe everyone on our team is a leader and an owner of the work, and we are looking for educators who bring that same sense of purpose to the schools they serve.

We are the highest rated secondary ELA curriculum on the market and we are expanding rapidly. We are excited to welcome new faces to our team as we grow!

About the Role

We are seeking experienced, energetic presenters to deliver high-quality professional learning to teachers and school and district leaders. As a Per Diem Literacy Curriculum Presenter, you will lead engaging in-person and virtual sessions that build educator capacity, drive confident adoption of the ThinkCERCA approach, and model the kind of instruction we want to see in classrooms. This is a leadership-facing role. You will often be the face of ThinkCERCA in the room, setting the tone for how partners experience our curriculum and our mission.

This is a per diem, contract position with a highly variable schedule that peaks in the summer, early fall, and again at the start of the spring semester. We are looking for candidates who are available to travel frequently, especially in July, August, September, and January.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate dynamic, high-quality professional learning sessions for teachers, coaches, and school and district leaders, both on-site and online.
  • Model strong literacy instruction and adult learning practices, including example lessons and job-embedded coaching that move from training into daily classroom application.
  • Build deep expertise in the ThinkCERCA platform, curriculum, and instructional framework, then translate that expertise into practical, classroom-ready learning for educators.
  • Adapt sessions in real time to meet the needs, experience levels, and goals of each audience.
  • Partner with the ThinkCERCA team to prepare for engagements, customize materials, and ensure each session aligns with partner priorities.
  • Represent ThinkCERCA professionally in every interaction with customers and prospects.
  • Track and submit session notes and complete related assignments in a timely way.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in the classroom and five or more years of experience in literacy, ELA, or a writing-intensive content area, with experience at the secondary level (grades 6 through 12) especially valued.
  • Significant experience presenting and delivering professional learning to adult audiences, with the ability to engage both large and small groups.
  • A confident, energetic presence that keeps a room moving and brings sessions to life.
  • A self-starter who learns quickly, works independently, and takes ownership of outcomes, with the drive and flexibility this kind of seasonal, on-the-road work requires.
  • Strong working knowledge of college and career readiness standards for literacy and a comfort discussing data with teachers and leaders.
  • An understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them so participants leave ready to act.
  • Fluency with digital tools, including video conferencing, learning platforms, and collaboration suites.
  • Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with strong time management across multiple engagements.

Schedule and Travel

This role is scheduled on an as-needed basis and is highly dependent on partner demand. Sessions are typically delivered during school hours, with the heaviest volume in the summer, early fall, and the start of the spring semester. Given the seasonal nature of the work, we do not recommend holding a separate full-time daytime role at the same time.

Extensive travel is an essential function of this position and includes frequent overnight stays and travel by car and air. Availability to travel heavily in July, August, September, and January is required. Candidates should have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Compensation

ThinkCERCA offers competitive per diem compensation starting at $650+ per day, based on experience and the type of work assigned. Beyond session delivery, we compensate for the time you put in to be ready, including required study and preparation, onboarding, and ongoing internal training, along with reimbursable travel expenses.
